Ziva is back with us because she did not seem to adapt well to her adopted home. Some dogs need a longer transition in order to feel comfortable. With us at ASR, Ziva has been nothing but loving and affectionate but she was a bit reactive in her new home when meeting new people . We are working on this now. She was rescued from the streets of Afghanistan by a wonderful organization, Kabul Small Animal Rescue (KSAR), https://www.kabulsmallanimalrescue.com/, and is now with All Shepherd Rescue (ASR) in Maryland. Ziva was found by KSAR and held until enough funds were raised to charter a plane and arrange an airlift to the United States for her and 200 other lucky dogs and 100 equally lucky cats. Initially, Ziva was a little shy but has blossomed into a happy, vivacious and social pup and is great with other dogs. Since we don’t know about her past life, we suggest a home with older children only. Cats are an unknown right now. Thank you Kathryn K. for your sponsorship of Ziva!
