Description:
Update- Lady has completed her heartworm treatment and is ready for her furever home. She is available for adoption in our regular areas of coastal DE, MD, and VA. Lady found herself in a crowded animal control facility after her owner died and she was left outside to fend for herself. She would have been adopted quickly as she was already spayed, housetrained and has a friendly personality. However, Lady tested positive for heartworm and also limps from an old break in her front leg. She gets along well but we feel a home with easy access to the outdoors with minimal steps would be the best match. She is always ready for a walk and pulls slightly in the beginning but soon walks nicely with you. She rides well in the car and likes everyone she meets. Lady is currently in a foster home on the ESVA and has started her heartworm treatment which will take about 90 days. She can be “foster to adopt” to local Eastern Shore of VA homes willing to take her for treatment in Greenbush. She will be available to out of area adopters once treatment is complete.
