Description:

Dottie Bio Please ensure you understand and can meet the needs of this dog before applying. ● Energy level: Medium ● Potty training: Not house trained ● Fenced yard: Yes ● Shared walls: Ok ● People: Friendly ● Dogs: All ● Other: Dottie is a flight risk Overview Dottie is a beautiful, long hair piebald. She weighs 16 pounds and is approximately five years old. She came to us from a hoarding situation. She is friendly and likes people and dogs. Because she probably spent a lot of time outside, she has no problem walking right out an open door; therefore she is considered an extreme flight risk. She must have a secure, fenced yard. Health Dottie recently tested positive for heartworms. Poor girl. We are just about to start her treatment. If her adopter has a calm and quiet home, she can be moved during treatment. Strict crate rest is required for at least 2 months and Little Paws will pay for the cost of treatment. Environment Dottie is good with dogs and people. She has not yet been tested on a leash as she is a flight risk. Dottie is ok in an ex pen but prefers to snuggle with a human. She is not very vocal. Dottie was in a very bad hoarding situation and needs a comfortable place to decompress and relax. She will need an adopter willing to work on potty training her. Pets & People Dottie is friendly with adults and dogs. She is indifferent to the cats in her foster home. She has not been tested with children. Location Dottie is available for adoption from Morrisville, NC. Please email [email protected] with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Dottie is $375.00.
