Male Dog, Rottweiler

Rottweiler (Short Coat)

Description:

There is a 3-year-old male Rottie mix. He will steal your heart with his sad eyes and demure approach. Bear weighs around 53 pounds but he's not thriving in the shelter environment. He will not approach when being visited by strangers, but he does show interest in shelter staff and shelter volunteers who speak with him in a calm voice and gently offer treats.Because of his shy nature, we are worried he will constantly be overlooked by potential adopters. We believe Bear will thrive if he has shown patience by potential adopters. As sudden movements scare him, we suggest a home with no small children just so that he can adjust. We also assume he would thrive if he had a confident, yet gentle fur-sibling to lead the way.Can you love Bear enough to give him a chance? How can you say no to this face?Bear's owner did not give him up because he did not want him, his owners family gave him up after his owner had a stroke.
