Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier (Short Coat)

Description:

AUDREY Female, spayed 2 years old Pit Bull Terrier 45 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with kids; untested with dogs; not good with cats Audrey is a sweet, spirited warrior who was brought to the shelter with a nasty right leg fracture. She remained stoic through the pain and confusion of the noisy shelter until Lovepaws came to her rescue and placed her with her foster family just before Christmas. Little did we know that SHE was the real holiday miracle! Her foster describes her as silly, spunky, playful, curious and loving. Whether she's mimicking a truffle pig on walks, sniffing with her adorable snorts or bouncing around with her favorite toys, Audrey's infectious enthusiasm will brighten your day. Her soft, velvety face and ears are just begging for affection -- once you pet her, you won't be able to stop!! Audrey is very smart. She’s quick to learn commands and routines. She even knows to 'place' in her nighttime crate! She likes soft, plush blankets as her bedding. She is content entertaining herself- throwing balls and toys into the air, and playing with a variety of toys and chews independently, and loves playing with the kids in her foster home. When she sees them, her ears go back and she snorts from excitement and happiness - brightening up the day! But if you lay down on the floor or on a bed, beware- she will pounce and may settle on your chest, expressing her love by licking your face! With her right hind leg fracture now surgically repaired, she may have some limitations in range of motion of that leg and may walk with a slightly abnormal gait since her hind legs are not exactly the same length, but it won't keep her from living a completely normal life. She is a social eater and prefers to munch in your company. Audrey would LOVE to explore the world, go on all the walks, visit parks, greeting everyone she meets with sweet tail wags and happy piggy snorts. She would love to play ball with you, relish in a basket full of dog toys that she can throw into the air or de-stuff, enjoy some yummy jerky treats gently from your hand, smother you with kisses, and nap by your side. She is one special pooch! Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here! If you would like to purchase something to keep her entertained during her recovery, her Amazon wish list is here .
