Female Dog, Siberian Husky
Siberian Husky (Long Coat)
Description:
www.huskyrescueteam.org If you have additional questions please email [email protected] This little lady was either dumped or lost in Grand Bay National Park in Georgia. Grand Bay has tons of alligators and snakes. It took a while to catch her but she's now safe! She completed a stray hold through the local shelter but no one came for her and she wasn't microchipped. Even though we are beyond full with Huskies waiting on homes, we couldn't leave her fate to chance after all she's endured. So we welcomed Gia! The name is short and sweet, just like her!!! Gia is such an amazing gal and she needs a furever home of her own where she's able to be an important part of your family. Gia is fine with most of her foster canine friends, but didn't do well with a resident dog during a trial adoption so we think she'd do best as an only dog. A meet and greet is required if you have a resident dog. Her foster family writes: She has been good in the living room when I leave for short periods of time. Has zoomies right before bed each night. Follows directions. Stomach of iron! Any new foods (add some doggy magic dust, wet food mix, rawhide alternative treat, etc) are good with her and fine coming out! (I don’t give her human food though just as a rule.) There was a little kid (7 yrs maybe) at the walk and Gia loved him- came up gently and interacted with him on purpose and let him pet her. Oh and best car rider I’ve ever had in my husky owning life! Silent, chill, curious. Is she really a husky?! You’d never know! Gia is: housebroken, crate trained, moderate energy, good on a leash, and an expert cuddle bug. Gia is estimated to be two years old and currently weighs 35 lbs. She is spayed, current on her vaccines and heartworm negative. She is bi-eyed and her brown eye has a fleck of blue in it, too. Her adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC or GA. Gia is being fostered in MD but we will transport for an approved home. So please apply today! We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply If you have additional questions please email [email protected]
