Male Dog, Siberian Husky

Siberian Husky / Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed (Long Coat)

Description:

www.huskyrescueteam.org If you have additional questions please email [email protected] 3 years old Mila was surrendered to a Georgia shelter. The "owner" stated the dogs were destroying his things outside (where they were made to live!) and so he surrendered them. What he failed to mention is Mila was pregnant AGAIN. Momma Mila, a Siberian Husky, had 5 pups (3 boys and 2 girls). They are supposedly Siberian Husky/Belgian Malinois mixes but DNA test is pending. Unfortunately, one of the boys didn't make it because he was stuck in the birth canal. The puppies are twice the size of purebred Husky puppies and Mila is little at just 33lbs. Jet however was the first one born and the largest of the litter. He has always thrived. Jet is black, jet black, with white tipped paws, a white chest and two blue eyes. He is going to be a big boy! He likes to lay in cool places and he sleeps like a Husky in frog dog positions. He's also the antagonizer of the group. The pups will be able to leave the first weekend of January and we'd love to have furever homes lined up for them. Adopters should plan to pick the pups up from either Virginia Beach, VA or Severn, MD (foster's home or rescue). We will not be transporting them at this age. Anyone wishing to adopt should have another young dog in the home to help continue their socialization. We require they are spayed/neutered by 6 months old. We will provide a spay/neuter appointment with their adoption with our vet in MD. If you live out of state, you can have your vet perform the spay/neuter and submit proof back to the rescue, but we will only cover cost up to the amount our vet would charge - any difference is the adopter's responsibility. These pups will be active dogs and will need an active lifestyle. At the time of adoption, they can only be left unsupervised for 2 hour intervals. These pups cannot be left home alone if you work out of the house. We have no way of knowing if they will be cat friendly. If you plan to adopt and have cats, you'll need a solid way of separating the cats from the dogs should they develop prey drives. We do not want to see a dog returned to us because they have Husky instincts! (we will ask you about your plan if you have cats!) Please make sure you have the means to accommodate their needs. Questions? email [email protected] Apply at www.huskyrescueteam.org ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply If you have additional questions please email [email protected]
