Terrier / Mixed

Description:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy kidsCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: YesMaxine is a sweet, reserved gal who loves her humans once she feels comfortable. She is doing well being fostered in a multi-dog home and has adapted well to northern life. She is looking for a patient, calmer home who’s excited to help her build her confidence and advocate for her space.Maxine is a medium-energy pup, where she loves to romp in the yard but is content with chilling nearby with a bone or toy. After a proper introduction, she gets along with other pups. Given Maxine’s reserved nature, she’d likely be fine with or without a feline sibling. Because Maxine is shy at first and needs a minute to meet newer humans, she would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids who can respect her boundaries and let her come to them on her own terms. She is food-motivated and eager to please, so training should be a treat! She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight, where she may whine or cry at first but settles quickly. Maxine is housetrained and has no accidents when taken out on a regular schedule and routine. She is working hard on her leash manners and improving quickly. She would do great with an owner who’s excited to continue her training and provide extra guidance as she navigates her new environment.Maxine’s soulful brown eyes and cute dobby ears will have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the next member of your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
