Female Dog, Husky
Husky / Mixed
Description:
Lobita is a one-year old, 48 lbs. Husky mix girl. Lobita is friendly with dogs of any size, with kids, and with cats. When ot comes to humans, she tends to be more trusting with women initially but will warm up to men if she is given lots of affection. She loves going on walks and on car rides. Her foster mom says that she is very obedient. When it's time to eat, she eats "very lady-like." She takes her time with the food and drinks water without making a mess. The only thing is that she prefers not having dogs near her during lunch/dinner time for fear that they'll steal her food (this is why her foster mom feeds her inside a crate). She is potty-trained and will even makes some soft grunting sounds when she wants to go potty. Lobita is comfortable in her crate but she will start voicing her discontent if she's been in it for too long. Her favorite pastime is to smell grass and plants in the yard and to visit herdog friends. You don't have to worry about her jumping on you or going after other dogs when going on walks. Rescue story: Lobita's rescuer saved her from living chained outdoors. The rescuer saw her neighbors neglecting Lobita for months and even begged the owners to surrender Lobita and her 4 puppies to her. The owners refused and eventually gave away the puppies to random people. Months later, the owners left Lobita with the rescuer (who happens to be Lobita's foster mom). This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.PLEASE READ: • If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption.
