Pug (Medium Coat)
Description:
Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3), all volunteer foster home based rescue organization. INTRODUCING ALMA! Alma is a lovable, cuddly, and oh-so-sweet 4-year-old Pug who is ready to find her perfect family! This adorable little lady is crate-trained, making bedtime and downtime a breeze. She’s also fantastic on a leash, no reactivity, making her the perfect walking companion for strolls around the neighborhood or fun outdoor adventures. She prefers to do her business on walks and not in the yard, so her new family will need to commit to walking her to get her business done. The good news, she is all business on her walks. She's not one of those pee at every pee-mail spot she passes type of pugs. Alma is friendly, affectionate and well-behaved. Her personality shines wherever she goes. She would do well in a home with other dogs, but she’s also perfectly content soaking up all the love as the only pup in the house. She is starting to show a desire to rise up in the pack with some pug humping, so she's apt to be one of those bossy girls, but there is not any aggression or resource guarding happening with Alma. She has not been cat-tested. Whether she’s snuggling on the couch, playing fetch with stuffies (her favorite), or happily trotting by your side, Alma is sure to bring endless joy to her new family. She is smart and already knows the basic commands sit, come, stay and paw. Alma is house trained but has had some accidents which can be expected with any transition. Get those walks going on schedule and she should fall right into a routine. She travels well in the car, was great at the vet, unphased by other pets in the waiting area. Too busy making friends! She is healthy, spayed, UTD on vaccines and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered, and loving companion, Alma might just be the perfect match for you! Apply today to meet this precious girl and give her the forever home she deserves.
