Pug (Medium Coat)
Description:
Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3), all volunteer foster home based rescue organization. MEET OPHELIA~ This is one Ophelia who is guaranteed to be on your mind! I mean - look at how adorable she is! In typical Pug fashion, 6 year old Ophelia loves her people! She wants to be near you wherever you are, but she will also go lay and chill on her comfy bed if she feels like it or bask in a ray of sunshine for hours. She lives with two children (10+) and two small female dogs in her foster home and has gotten fine along with everyone. She does love to jump up to greet people, but she is quite small, so she can’t quite knock anyone over. Prior to foster care, she lived with younger children and was an only dog. So, while she is able to co-habitate with other dogs, she is still learning about how to be a member of a pack, as opposed to a one-and-only. She is making improvements daily but will continue to need positive reinforcement and continued reminders until she understands fully. Do not let her age fool you. Ophelia is full of zip and spunk! She regularly outruns both of her foster sisters and enjoys walks and romps in the yard. She is very excited on walks and is prone to pulling and being easily distracted, but she loves being active! She will also play with toys on her own. Beware that if she becomes bored or restless, she has been known to pick up a shoe or two and show off her shoelace-untying skills, so don’t keep anything on the ground that could be a potential hazard. Ophelia is fully vetted, up-to-date on her shots and testing, and is spayed. She is agile and active and has no issues with stairs or any kind of flooring. She is fully housebroken but also paper trained and will use a potty pad if she needs to go. Ophelia is feisty and has a zest for life! She was previously a frequent flyer/traveler and is very well-behaved in her travel crate. Whether you travel by car or plane, she just wants to be part of the action. She is also bilingual and understands both English and Spanish! Such a smart little Puggy! Adoption Requirements for OPHELIA Fenced yard desired so she can continue her carefree romps in the yard.
