Description:

STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application. Meet Hazelnut: The Sweetest Momma Around! Hazelnut has been busy raising her TEN adorable babies, soon she'll be ready to find her own happily-ever-after! This petite, 45-pound sweetheart has been the most amazing mom, but soon it will be her turn to be spoiled and cherished. Hazelnut is: ❤️ Crate trained ❤️ A dream on a leash ❤️ A professional cuddler who can’t get close enough ❤️ Great with other dogs after proper introductions ❤️ Friendly with everyone she meets She’s the perfect blend of playful and loving—she adores her snacks and toys just as much as she loves curling up next to her people. Hazelnut has been nothing short of amazing while raising her little ones, and if they’re even half as sweet as she is, they’re going to be incredible dogs! Hazelnut is already spayed and will be ready to go home on Valentine’s Day, 2025. Could you be her Valentine? Adoption Fee: $265 Fill out a pre-approval application today to give this perfect momma the forever home she deserves! All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess. BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!
