Baby is a 4-year-old dog who currently weighs 45 pounds more than she should. Her previous owner had dementia, which led to her being overfed. As a result, Baby's extra weight has caused her to develop a sway back and other skin/paw issues.Since arriving at the shelter, her food intake is being closely monitored, and she has already started losing weight. A recent trip to the vet showed that her bloodwork looks good overall. She does have some masses that are being evaluated, and due to her weight, she will need periodic checkups to monitor her progress and overall health.Baby is already making progress on her weight-loss journey and will need a family willing to continue managing her diet and vet visits.
