Male Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed

Description:

Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at [email protected] to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. Approximate birthdate 5/20/23 Deuce is a male, neutered, pittie mix. Approximately 65lbs. He is estimated to be over a year old. This guy was brought in by a good Samaritan to Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Service and has been the best patient through likely being hit by a car resulting in a broken forearm. Shortly after he battled parvovirus and handled it like a champ! Ever since he has been the best boy for routine vaccines, a neuter procedure and lots of socializing. He is very young in spirit and keeps me laughing with his playful demeanor. He enjoys chasing the water out of the hose and sprinklers, as well as running and playing outside with his foster siblings. Absolutely adores snuggles and would be the best companion for someone who is able to give him the exercise and enrichment he needs. We go for rides often, and he enjoys short walks on the leash, tennis balls, sticks and rope toys. He is kennel trained, and knows most basic commands. "Sit", "lay down", "off", "leave it", and is very eager to learn more. He loves training treats and takes pills in pill pockets easily. He just wants to make you smile and be allowed to his happy self. Deuce would do well in a house with another medium/ large, high energy dog.  Older children would be good to play with and burn off some energy. He is a bit clumsy and still figuring out his spacial awareness since having his splint off but he is dedicated to being a very good boy.  **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**
