Male Dog, Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Crawford came to the shelter on Feb. 11th, when his legal hold time at the city pound was finished. He's a pretty large and strong pit bull type guy who seems easy going and happy. He has the big, beefy head that we love! We will have him vet checked and neutered on Feb. 25th and his fee is $150. Because Crawford is a brand new arrival, we're still getting to know him. He loves people and is very friendly but might need a little work on his manners. He needs a little work on leash walking which isn't unusual, but he's not horrendous. He hasn't seemed to be too bothered by the other dogs at the shelter but we haven't had him up close and personal with any of them yet. Older kids would be best for him as he is large and strong. Cats? We just don't know. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
