Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Hello, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Alicia and I’m estimated to be a 1-year-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. I weigh 39 pounds. I have the same name as my foster mom so my foster parents call me Aurora. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and boy am I happy to be free! My foster parents say I’m just about the sweetest girl ever. I love meeting new people and giving them kisses. I’m gentle, affectionate, and appreciative. I haven’t met any kids in my foster home but I’m sure I’d love a human kiddo to play with! Sometimes I jump up to give hugs so you would need to watch me with littles, that way I don’t accidentally knock them over. I have met many dogs and loved them all! I currently live with a 60lb and a 70lb dog. I like to play for short bursts and can entertain myself if my furry friends aren’t feeling active. I’ve had a small amount of exposure to cats and did just fine with them. My foster parents are impressed with my training so far! I like to lay in the kennel for naps and don’t mind sleeping in there at night. If I’m in a playful mood and have to be kenneled when you leave the house, I may bark for a little bit. Shared walls aren’t best for me right now just to be safe. My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them and I don’t make a peep all night. I am potty trained! I did have accidents when I first joined my foster home, so my adopter should expect that I’ll have a few accidents as I get acclimated to a new routine. My foster mom says I am such an easy girl to walk on leash! Going on walks is a lot of fun and I especially like looking at the squirrels. In new environments, I don’t always know what I’m allowed to chew on. Sometimes I’ll grab something I shouldn’t, but I redirect to a toy very easily. Did I mention that I love toys? Stuffed animals are my favorite thing to chew on! I’m an easy girl to love with my honey eyes and gentle soul. I can’t wait to find my forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
