Male Dog, Alaskan Malamute

Alaskan Malamute / Mixed

Description:

This is Chief!! He is such a good boy!! He's learning lots of new things. He's learning being in a kennel is OK. He is learning to not pull on a leash and he's learning some recall. He is doing very well with them all. He loves kids and other dogs. He would love a fenced in yard as he would prefer to sit outside all day long. He loves taking in the views. He's the first one to greet us when we get home from work with a quick Woo Woo. He is very talkative as most huskies/ malamutes are. He does great getting groomed! He would love to have a buddy or family to chill with. He does get a little anxious at night but is learning it is nice to sleep inside. He likes to sleep on the cold floors. He wouldn't do well in an apartment as he does howl from time to time (which also makes him super cool) He is an all around great boy!! He has to coolest coat as well - it's black and white with tints of red!! It's very thick and warm so he is well built for our MN winters!! We can't wait to meet you and answer any questions!! NOTE: Chief tested positive for Lymes disease & Anaplasmosis, which are tick borne diseases that can cause flare ups over his lifetime & may need to be treated with antibiotics. The majority of dogs live full normal lives with these diseases. Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application. Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet! A home visit is required prior to adoption. Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination: Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue. We do not guarantee this determination.
