PendingNewer to Doberman Rescue Minnesota. Meet this handsome big guy named Thor. He is 1.5yo neutered male. Thor is the epitome of the definition "Velcro dog". He will always be that shadow and faithful good ol boy who is always there to keep your feet warm. He is extremely smart, learns quick, has a burning desire to "please" his human and be the bestest boy he can be. While in our fosters care Thor has had limited exposure to smaller children and a variety of dogs. He doesn't have a lot of experience with small children so they actually kind of make him nervous and he gets uncomfortable, so a home with out small children will be best for him. He also needs experience with being with or around other dogs. He needs extreme slow intros and did ok with a small older dog after quite a bit of working with him. He may be ok with a submissive quiet smaller female. He has lived a pretty quite life so a small quiet family would be best. He will need someone to be extremely patient and understanding that he will need a leader, guidance, boundaries and someone who is comfortable with working with a large male dog. He has some basic commands but training will be required for him and his new owner. A strong working bond, trust and communication needs to be built with him. He is learning leash work but using a training collar on him has proved to be what he needs to walk nicely. Thor loves to play and his favorite is his ball. He always has a ball around somewhere, LOL! He is crate trained and foster uses a Kuranda bed for Thor tends to shred his pad or blankets. Best to crate when home alone for he can't be trusted yet unsupervised, for he is still very puppy. He LOVES car rides and will hop right in and lay down and is so happy to be along for the ride. He is great for nails trims but he is not a fan of baths as of yet. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog.
