Meet Akeh! This clever, eager learner already knows how to sit, shake, and “down” most of the time and he’s showing incredible promise for further training. As Akeh grows more comfortable, his wiggle butt playful personality is shining through, and he’s full of energy and curiosity! Akeh’s energy also makes him a wonderful match for a loving, accepting dog companion who can join in his playtime. He’s really wanting to play with someone! Check out this video of him admiring other pups in online videos. He thrives on positive reinforcement and is highly treat-motivated, making training productive. Akeh is eager to learn and embraces new challenges with enthusiasm. Akeh’s leash manners are coming along nicely. Akeh is also making steady progress on commands like “off” “down” “place” “kennel up” “potty”, responding well to guidance. Here he is showing off his “place” skills! He is fully kennel and potty trained, however you need to make sure he goes out regularly. Not cat tested, but was exposed to a few kittens at Petsmart – showed no prey drive, just sniffing through kennel curiosity. Best in a home with no small children as he can get jumpy and get the zoomies. This sweet, lovingly affectionate boy has been a joy to have around. He’s a great sport about wearing his sweater, loves playing with his heavy duty toys and bones. Though he may cry a little when left alone, he’s adjusting and finds comfort in a cozy, secure setup and stays in his kennel for naps and when he goes to bed at night, otherwise he tends to want to goof around longer than he should. After he’s settled into his foster home over the past month, you can see with time and consistent support, his confidence and independence will continue to grow. Akeh is just a kind-hearted pup looking for a home filled with patience, play, and love. If you’re ready for a loyal, joyful companion, Akeh is ready to become your new best friend.
