Description:

Hi my name is Cala! I am a sweet girl who is learning so many new things! I love to play with toys, go on walks and cuddle on the couch. I am still learning some manners but I am very smart and I am catching on very quickly. Treats are my favorite so training is a lot of fun for me! I have mastered “sit” , “down” , and “come”. I am also kennel trained! Going into my kennel is no problem (especially with a treat!) and I enjoy napping in there when my foster parents are not home. I love playing with toys (especially with rope toys!). I am learning how to be gentle while playing with humans and do well with redirection when I get over excited. I do love other dogs but I am a bit rambunctious for some. I would do best in a home by myself or with a very patient and forgiving dog who can help teach me dog etiquette. While I have interacted with kids, I am very rambunctious and still learning how to be gentle when playing. I would do best in a home with older kids (15+) that can be respectful of my space and who want to take part in my training. I would thrive with an active family that can provide me with plenty of exercise. Having a patient family who is willing to continue my training is very important. My foster parents say that I am a great dog and will make a wonderful addition to a loving family. Cala is from a local shelter.
