Description:
Hi, my name is Diego! In my foster home, I also go by "Good Boy", "Big Dog", and "Little Goblin" - that last one is because of my ears, not because I have any goblin tendencies! My foster mom says I'm a handsome sweetheart and that I deserve a happily ever after, so she made me a profile in hopes of finding my perfect match: Putting my best paw forward - these are things I like or excel at: People! (Friendly with adults and dog-savvy kids) Toys! (The squeakier, the better) My toy collection! (I’m gentle with my toys and sometimes even treat them like a pacifier) The great outdoors! (I love being outside, exploring the fenced yard, and listening to the birds) Treats! (I’m treat-motivated and take treats very gently) Sit! Down! Off! Come! (I know these commands well) Expressing myself vocally! (I can be a talker and like to share my thoughts) House trained! Crate trained! (I’ll go into my crate when needed, though it’s not my favorite. I’m very trustworthy when left on my own outside of the crate) Staying active! (I love being active and exploring) Modeling! Cuddling and Relaxing! (I enjoy curling up on the couch in the evenings or working on a nylabone while my foster pawrents watch football.) I’m always trying to be a good boy - here’s what I’m working on: Leash training Making dog friends (I’m slowly getting to know my foster brother) Something else you should know about me: I’m on medication for seizures, but my foster mom hasn’t seen any since I’ve been in rescue. Think you might be my forever after? Fill out an application so we can arrange our first date! Check out how awesome I did on WCCO!! https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/video/forever-home-friday-meet-diego/ *A generous supporter has paid part of Diego's adoption fee to help him find a loving home.* Diego is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
