Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Meet Pyper, a 3 year old Pit Bull Terrier that is as sweet as they come! She has the wiggliest little butt, especially when you come home after being gone. On a normal day, you can find her snoozing wherever she can find sunlight or chewing on her favorite bone. She is a huge cuddle bug who will follow you around wherever you go. Pyper knows most basic commands including sit, shake, lay down, and heel. She has also been working very hard on waiting by the door before being let out and learning to soothe herself before being let out of her crate. She can sometimes get overstimulated when people come through the door, and will usually put something in her mouth to help deal with the anxiety. She has already had some behavioral training, so whoever adopts her would benefit greatly by continuing to work with her, as she is very eager to learn! She is very well-trained at sleeping and eating in her crate, which she sometimes just likes to hang out in during the day if you’re home. In terms of food, it is best to keep her away from chicken-based products, as she has some skin allergies. She would be best categorized as a moderate energy pup, as she loves to go for a daily walk or run, but will happily lounge for the rest of the day! She also loves squeaky toys, but will quickly destroy softer toys if she’s not being monitored. Pyper’s forever home needs to be one where she is the only pet, as she has shown aggression toward other dogs. Because of this, it would also be best for the home to have a fenced-in yard where she can feel safe to roam. On the other hand, she is very affectionate with all humans and has never met someone she didn’t like. She has a lot of love to give and will be your loyal best friend if you let her! Pyper is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
