Description:

Meet Ruth, a sweet and resilient puppy looking for a loving forever home. She was found in an apartment complex where she was not being cared for. The plan was to sell her. The owners agreed to surrender to finder. Ruth may be a little unsure of new people at first, but once she warms up, she’s all love and affection. Ruth is a playful, bright, and curious little pup who thrives on learning and connecting with those around her. She has bursts of high energy, followed by quiet rest periods. Ruth is already mostly potty trained and quickly picking up on basic commands. She’s eager to please and is learning fetch and house rules with ease. Ruth has a love for sticks—the bigger, the better—and you’ll often find her running around the yard with sticks larger than she is! Although Ruth can be vocal when confined or separated from her family, her energy and playful nature show that she’s going to grow into an amazing companion. She will need someone who can provide guidance, attention, and the right amount of structure to help her thrive. As a pit bull, Ruth will need an experienced owner who understands the commitment and care her breed requires, as well as someone who lives in a place without breed restrictions. Ruth is sure to bring joy and excitement to the right family—could that be you? Ruth is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 4/12 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9AM and 12PM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
