Male Dog, Corgi

Corgi / Shepherd / Mixed

Description:

Seamus is a puppy looking for love! Born to a sweet Corgi mix mom, she had the puppies under a stack of roofing tin in the woods. At 7 weeks they were rescued from that location. The puppies were covered in fleas and unsure about people. This gorgeous, tri-color boy with soulful eyes is the most outgoing of his entire litter. Born into rough conditions alongside at least seven siblings, Seamus has shown nothing but resilience and heart. Despite his tough start, he’s a playful, happy pup who loves nothing more than wrestling with his brothers and sisters and chasing after his favorite toys. When the excitement settles, Seamus is all about snuggles. He loves to curl up next to you on the couch and soak in all the affection you can give. He’s a thoughtful, intelligent little guy who will thrive in a home where he’s part of the family’s daily life. Whether it’s growing up alongside kids as their loyal friend and protector, or joining an active person on daily walks and adventures, Seamus is ready to be someone’s sidekick. He would also do well in a home with another friendly dog to help guide him, he has been used to his siblings and it would help him learn the ropes of being in a home but isn't a requirement. He is potty trained to potty pads only so he will need to learn to go outside. What really catches you is when he will be busy playing and then look up at you. He is a magical and smart little guy! Seamus is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 4/12 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9AM and 12PM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
