Meet your new BFF, Creek. This tall, handsome, affectionate fellow with dreamy amber eyes is a 6-month-old, 25-lb. Shepherd-Heeler mix. Creek loves people and dogs (has not been tested with cats or children under pre-teen age). He is smart, curious, and very treat-motivated; with that combo, the sky is the limit on what he can learn. He learned to sit in just one day, and is making good progress on potty-training despite being hampered by a foster mom who hasn't quite caught on to his routine yet. An active person/family who can give him the time and attention to be all he can be--and another dog to play with--would be his ideal home. Approximate Birthdate: May 2024 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. For more information please fill out an application.
