Gracie Lou Freebush is a super sweet 10-12 year old Chihuahua. She is willing to say hello to any dog or cat but prefers the company of people. She has interacted with all sorts of people and is fine if she feels safe because she is so small. She will be a great companion for someone who can give her lots of undivided attention and with kids old enough to be patient with her small size. She has only 4 teeth or so which means her tongue sometimes falls out of her mouth! So far, Gracie is not really interested in dog toys and would rather nibble on your hand. She has a very big appetite and we have to be careful not to overfeed her because she acts like she is so hungry all the time. When she needed medication, we covered it in peanut butter and she ate it like candy! She is learning to walk under my legs and to hop up onto a step. She is very quiet for the most part but will bark 2 or 3 times as an alert when someone comes in the door and then just wants them to pet her. Gracie is completely house trained and will do her best to let you know when you've forgotten to take her out. She gets overly excited when she sees us pick up her leash and will reverse sneeze for a bit every single time. At some point on walks, she will sniff the ground, suddenly flip over onto her back and wiggle around for a bit. Gracie prefers to have your attention but is fine on her own when you are away. She has no separation anxiety at all. She is completely crate trained and tolerates being put in there at any time. Like most chihuahuas she is like a little shadow and we have learned to be very careful not to step on her. She will want to be right next to you all the time. Come meet this sweet little lady!
