Description:
Katona arrived at a shelter in Texas as a public drop off on 1/12/2025. She has been on "hold" all this time because the shelter thought she had an owner coming for her. Turns out there was no owner and poor Katona had been sitting there all this time. NorthStar pulled her out of the shelter on 2/6. Her foster mom said she slept very well on her first night of freedom. Katona is house trained and crate trained (and pee pad trained overnight if her foster mom doesn't hear her when she is telling mom that she needs to go outside.) Apparently she is part gazelle as she can jump over the baby gates in foster mom's home when she really wants to. Katona is 7 years old and weighs 18 pounds. The shelter said that she is dog friendly as she went out in the play yards with other dogs. At her foster's home she has met all the small dogs and she's gotten along well with them. Also, Katona is perfect on a leash, she said. We will be finding out more about Katona and will update her bio when we do.
