Description:

Meet Chip (brown) and Mouse (black)!!! These two wonderful boys are being re-homed because their owners can no longer care for them. These 2 boys are 3 years old and have lived together their entire lives and depend on each other so they MUST be adopted together. NOTE: Chip and Mouse are NOT NorthStar Pet Rescue dogs. NorthStar is helping to network them for a suitable home. NorthStar does not guarantee the accuracy of this listing and applications will be sent to the owner to respond to. bs, light brown fur. Both dogs are neutered, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, and up to date on vaccines. As a puppy Mouse was found in a kennel with his siblings in a neglectful hoarding situation. He had never been allowed outside, leading to him having severe anxiety and fearfulness of loud noises and of going outside. He currently only leaves the house for vet appts and goes potty inside on pads. He also has some minor allergy/skin issues that are treated as needed. Aside from these issues, Mouse is an absolutely adorable, sweet, playful, hilarious dog who really loves to play and have little zoomies in the house. He also loves to cuddle and receive lots of belly rubs. We also have never heard him bark once - he will sometimes let out a little cry when you get home after a long day. Despite his anxiety about going outside he's made sooo much progress since we first got him and is a totally different, much happier dog. He's especially so much happier since getting his brother Chip who he depends on for comfort and guidance. Chip is a really great, affectionate, easy to please dog who's only issue is some reactiveness/barking with strangers and other dogs. He doesn't have any anxiety or issues with going outside he can be taken out and walked as normal, just wouldn't recommend dog parks. He loves going on long walks and being outside, however he's not the type of dog you can take to a park and just relax with he prefers to be walking and moving. Once he's inside, he's very calm and chill and just happy to be at Mouse's side and giving us all lots of kisses. It's really important that they're adopted together because this transition will be hard for both of them, but especially for Mouse and we think he'll struggle to adjust a lot more without Chip. They really love each other a lot and are nearly attached at the hip most times. We wouldn't recommend a home with cats and would suggest a home with older kids if any. Chip would be happy to play and run around with them, but Mouse definitely would require kids who can respect his boundaries and be gentle with him. We think they would do best with an experienced, patient, loving, and supportive owner who lives in a quiet home and neighborhood, and has a fenced in secure yard. They will both need further training and support, Mouse for his anxiety and Chip for his reactivity. We think Mouse would eventually be okay with going outside in a yard, it's just been harder for us to try because their owner lives in an apartment in a busy neighborhood. But we truly think they can both thrive in the right home. They're such good boys and just really sweet, gentle, loving, silly, and affectionate dogs who we know will fill someone's home with so much more joy, love, and laughter as they have ours.
