Female Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier
American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed
Description:
Quote from foster family: Nori is a gentle, sweet girl who fit right into her foster home. Her easy-going nature allows her to be completely content just being around her human, and canine companions. There’s not a demanding bone in her body – she’s truly a dog who is happy when simple, fundamental needs are being met – such as, love, kindness and care.Woof-Facts Name: Nori (her nickname for “Eleanor”) Breed: Mixed breed Weight: 43 lbs. Age: ≈8 years old Gender: Female Health: healthy and up to date on vaccines. Will be spayed prior to adoption. Some lumps and bumps which were biopsied and benign. Recently had a full dental cleaning. Hearing impaired (not fully deaf)More InfoForever home recommendations: Nori is looking for a forever family where her humans are home more often than not. A canine companion would be beneficial but is not a requirement. When found as a stray, Nori was emaciated with bumps and bruises on her body, and evidence of a fully healed fractured elbow, so given her challenging past, it’s understandable why she can get a bit anxious when left alone. She’s made a lot of progress with that while in her foster home, and despite her past, she’s so easy going and full of love. Nori is at her happiest when she has human companionship. And having a doggie companion would be like icing on the cake! Kids: Would be OK living in a home with children.Dogs: Dog friendly; she’d like a doggie friend to journey through life with, not necessarily to engage in active play.Cats: Has not yet been around cats; her demeanor enables us to think she’d be fine with a feline companion with the proper introductory process, so we can assess that further if you have a cat in the family.Crate trained: Yes. She prefers not to be crated and does well/is not destructive at all when left out of the crate, but she can be crated, if needed. House trained: 95% yesLeash manners: Good on a leash for the most part; she pulls occasionally and is working to further enhance her skills.Personality: Gentle, easy-going, quiet, human-and-canine lover. Prefers not to be alone for long periods of time. A bit of a sloppy eater, but that trait in her comes off as totally adorable!
