Description:

ADOPT ME Brutus Great Dane x bully/mastiff mix Neutered male 3 years old Fully vetted Hiya! I’m Brutus Sullivan, and I’m your new best friend! Okay, okay, I know we don’t know each other yet so maybe I’m rushing things, but I’m everyone’s best friend! I love all the people, and everyone I’ve ever met is my favorite person ever! Now, to your next question, why do I have a middle name? Sure it’s silly since I’m a dog, but after my foster mom named me Brutus, she realized I’m the dog version of Sully from Monsters Inc.! Sure my size may be scary to people and other dogs at first, but I’m the biggest, sweetest, cuddle monster there is. My dream life would be to spend all day every day cuddling with you. My foster mom has been working on kennel training me, because I don’t want to be alone. Why be alone when we can be together is what I say! I’m the type of dog that will make someone who is afraid of dogs/big dogs… fall in love! Anytime I’m out in public, people absolutely SWOON over me. At the Growers Market, people would stop me every 10 seconds to interact with me. It took us 1 hour to make a circle around the market. I’m seriously a star! And I LIVE for that attention Dogs: I haven’t met a dog that I don’t like! I have met plenty that don’t love me though Not all dogs love my size when they first meet me… but they don’t understand that I am playful and cuddly with my doggy friends! I tend to take on a more submissive role with other doggies and I will take their directions if I’m given some! Some doggy friends in my future home would be my extreme preference! I like to learn from them and hang out with them. Especially since humans can’t constantly pay attention to me… if no human can be with me every second… I want a doggy friend! Cats: You know what’s even scarier than being alone? Cats. I give them their space and respect all their commands. I always ask them if they want to play, but I’ve never met one that said yes. So little, so scary. Kids: uh. Yes. Absolutely. Tiny humans that pet me and play with me? PUHLEASEEEE! But I think my future adult humans will need to guide me a little bit on making sure I maintain polite and gentle mannerisms with kiddos. I’m a biiiig giant puppy! But I never mean harm! Potty trained: yesssss! Woohoo! Kennel trained: Let’s debate on this one I really don’t love my crate. I have been okay in a regular wire crate, okay in the sense that I’m not hulk smashing out of it, which I absolutely could if I tried!! My foster mommy has dogs… but I’m not allowed to hang out with them because she says they aren’t nice to new dogs. I keep trying to tell her that I’ll make sure they are nice to me… buuuut alas…. So I do spend more time in my crate than I would personally like. BUUT! This gig is a whole lot better than the shelter… and I treasure the time I get to spend cuddling and playing I’m also about to start healing from a surgery… so being kenneled will help my recovery. Read more for info about my surgery! I already walk nicely on the leash, because we’re best friends and I don’t want to leave you! I know sit, shake, and down, but sometimes these can be difficult for me. When I came into the shelter, the nice vets noticed I wouldn’t stand on my hind right leg. I stretch it out and point my toes like a beautiful ballerina sometimes. They took some photos (x-rays) and found out that I had broken a bone at some point. So that’s why some of those commands can be tough for me. I listen and I want to do good, but it takes me a moment to do that without the owies. I still like to gallop and run after the ball, even if sometimes I forget to bring it back to you…oops. After the humans consulted with a few vets, they have decided to make me even more unique… and apparently they are going to make my leg disappear? Freaking magicians! So I will soon be a tripod. But I’m young and full of life… so adjusting will be fine. I won’t have any specialized needs once my leg disappears! In fact, you’ll hardly notice… I think my huge head and big personality will distract most people from the lack of limbs I am looking forward to cuddling my forever human while we binge watch your favorite shows. Are you ready to become official best friends?? Me too! Fill out an application so we can meet! Adopt Brutus:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/53715/generic
