Georgia in TN - Sweet As A Peach!
Status: Last posted as 'available' on 11/08/24

Female Dog, Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenees / Mixed (Long Coat)

Description:

Meet Georgia! She’s as sweet as a peach, who is gentle and patient with her puppy foster brother, and has already learned many standard commands and house skills. Georgia is a Pyrenees mix who is housebroken and walks very well on a leash. She loves to have her long, soft fur brushed and will sit for as long as you are willing to keep going. She enjoys walks, bones, peanut butter and dental treats! She is tolerant of car rides but does not like being in a crate. She’s not a fan of cats, so a home without a feline is needed. She’s happy to stay near her people, although she prefers to be outside as much as possible. She’s not a big barker. This medium-to-low-energy girl is looking for a forever home where she can share her love with a family, one that can possibly include a canine sibling brother, and has a 6’ fence so she can lounge outside to her heart’s content. - Written by M.M. NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQfor an application and information about our fostering program. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page.
