Female Dog, Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenees (Long Coat)

Description:

You can see more beautiful dogs by visiting our Adoptable Dogs page. Sweet and gentle Sasha loves everyone and everything! She was found as a stray in Alabama and was about to be euthanized before the National Great Pyrenees Rescue pulled her out of the shelter. Sasha is house-broken, leash trained, crate trained, and doesn’t dig. Sasha is young, eager to please her humans, and loves getting treats, so she could be easily trained to do all the basic doggie tricks! A 5’ fence would suit her just fine, but she prefers to be indoors most of the time. She has a calm and gentle demeanor. This sweet girl is very docile, so she’d do well with kids. She shows no interest in cats, and is great with other dogs, greeting them calmly. She is excellent meeting new people - everyone is a new friend! Sasha loves to have attention so grooming and brushing are easy for her beautiful, long, white and tan coat. She’s looking for a home with another dog or kids to play with, or perhaps an older, active adult home. - She will make a great companion for anyone! - Written by H.B. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQfor an application and information about our fostering program. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page. Please complete the adoption application and visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about Pyrs and our adoption process. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt rescue who has been rescuing the breed for 15 years. Visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed. More Information: Questions?
