Male Dog, Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler

Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Location; VA The Bleuet Farm litter is accepting adoption applications! Applications will not be accepted for a particular puppy. Each puppy will be matched to an approved application based on the application and follow up conversations with the adoptive home, and what is the best fit for both. Momma Erin is an extremely sweet and protective momma. Initially a one person dog (foster momma!) when the puppies were first born, she has grown much more comfortable with the rest of the Bleuet family, including our 9 year old daughter, and her friends. While Momma Erin is probably 50% Australian Cattle Dog (we are guessing the other half is Border Collie), she was a bit less choosy in a mate! We did pull DNA from one puppy (Gidget), but is always possible there is more than one sire for the litter! The puppies are really starting to find their voices, attitudes, and personalities this week, and we look forward to observing them, and seeing their potential blossom! They will be ready to go home the weekend of April 5-6, so applicants should be prepared to welcome a puppy home at that time if approved. The ideal homes for these puppies will be a well-rounded household. We might dial in more if there is a specific breed that comes back from the DNA test that we feel would need a specific type of management. They do have ACD and possible Border Collie, so they will absolutely need to be given a job, before they assign themselves one that you don’t want them to have! The puppies will be up to date on age appropriate medical care, including microchip, and will be placed with a spay/neuter contract. They are being fostered in Berryville Virginia. If you would like to learn more about the litter as a whole, please visit www.facebook.com/bleuetfarm and look for the photo album Momma Erin. We have been, and will continue to share photos and videos there! Please contact [email protected]. Apply for the Bleuet Farm litter at acdra.org/adoption-application
