Meet Serenity: (Kingston, MA) This male mixed breed was born near the end of March and is a little shy upon meeting strangers, but he loves to learn. His ESTIMATED adult weight is around 30-40 pounds. Serenity’s mother was an Australian cattle dog, so you can expect a lot of herding breed tenacity. And a DNA test submitted on one of his littermates revealed Siberian husky, American pit bull terrier, and boxer as the next three breeds in their genetic makeup. This guy can be a little reserved at first. But once he has time to settle, he will surprise you with his energy and eagerness. Serenity has a tendency to overthink new situations, but it does help him to learn quickly when channeled constructively. He absolutely loves solo training sessions. He also enjoys group play with the many adult dogs he has made friends with. But his puppy energy may be a bit much for some dogs. And Serenity LOVES the water! He hasn’t been to a dock yet, but he will sit in the empty kiddie pool and request water be added. However, because of his sensitivity Serenity will only be placed in a home without young children. Serenity still has a lot to learn, but would be a good partner for someone interested in professional training or potentially dog sports. He has begun a foundation in crate training and puppy basics, but will still need a full education in his new home. Serenity would likely do well with an adult dog in the house, so long as they are tolerant of puppy antics. (He has never met any cats) He is microchipped, up to date on monthly preventatives, has received age-appropriate vaccinations, and will be adopted out on spay/neuter contract to allow his puppy body more time to develop.
