Description:

Ama Mama came to MPR from Cherokee just before the storm hit. She was pregnant, and we couldn't find a foster for her in the chaos of the storm, so she ended up having 10 puppies at our Candler location! She was a good mom to them and when they were old enough, her puppies left to find their forever homes, but now it's time for Ama to do the same! Before coming into our care, she lived on a mountain in Cherokee with other dogs, but since being separated and living solo, she seems a little hesitant around other dogs and might do best on her own or with a relaxed male dog.Ama is such a sweet girl and is very much a staff favorite at MPR. She weighs about 37 pounds and likely won't get bigger. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org! All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
