Description:
IMPORTANT FIRST STEP. Gary requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can meet him in his foster home. The link to the application is: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC. Gary is super soft, playful, and a real cuddlebug. He sleeps in a puppy pen where he is close to his human family. Gary gets along great with the two dogs in his foster home and also their cat. He loves to play with all the toys and plays tag with his foster dog friends. Potty training is progressing - he's going outside 80% of the time and only goes #2 outside. He loves to cuddle on the couch in your lap at the end of the day. He is a very social guy and doesn't like to be alone, which is understandable given his history. He still gets upset when you leave the room but we're working on that. He would do best in a forever home with people who were home most of the time or had another dog for Gary to socialize with. BFPA will provide training to help Gary be more confident when left alone. We would prefer a home with another dog. Puppies can nip and play bite so may not be appropriate for young children unless they are used to puppy behavior. Gary is such a delight and will add joy to any family. He is ready to spend Valentine's Day with you....are you ready too?? EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Gary and his littermates were dumped in a rural area, found and taken to a shelter. They are all in loving, warm foster home now. Please consider giving Gary a forever home where he can continue his new wonderful life. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We prefer to adopt puppies into single family home. Puppies can cry and bark when left alone and would not do well in residences with shared walls unless a human is home most of the day. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
