Male Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

You MUST submit a Best Friend Pet Adoption application to be considered for Woodstock. The application and additional information can be found at bfpa.org. Welcome to the world, Woodstock! This gorgeous, green-eyed gem is looking for his forever home! He was born around 10/6/24 and at the beginning of 2025 he weighed 23 lbs. Woodstock should be at least 60 lbs when full grown. He is doing so amazing in his foster home, getting closer every day to being fully housebroken. He sleeps well in his crate and knows that crate time means relaxing until the next adventure! Woodstock is excellent at sitting on command and uses his expressive, stunning eyes to try to convince you to give him everything in the cupboard! He shares his home with two larger dogs and his littermate. He adores other dogs but has never been cat tested. He is a total snuggle bug, enjoying belly rubs and snoozes next to you on the couch. He enjoys sunbathing on beautiful days, so a fenced yard would be his dream come true! Woodstock does well with people and children, however based on his young age and potential size, a home with older children is preferred. Puppies this young may not be appropriate for very young children since they will play bite and nibble on hands and feet when given the opportunity. Woodstock is very smart and very curious about the world. He is such a deserving boy and would make an excellent companion. He is learning and growing every day, but it's clear that he's eager to please and has a very gentle nature. Please consider submitting an application and coming to meet him. He is eager to meet his new Best Friend! EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Woodstock had a rough beginning to life. He along with his 5 siblings and momma were brought into a rural shelter when Woodstock was only 2 weeks old. The momma dog was in such poor health, she had to sadly be euthanized. A rescue group took the puppies and bottle fed them until they could were old enough to move into Best Friend Pet Adoption. They are all in loving foster homes now and are looking forward to a much better life now. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Ideally you live no further than a 30-60 mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. Medical care will be provided by our partner vets in the Raleigh area. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING WOODSTOCK?
