Hi there! I came into the shelter as a stray so not much is known about me. I would enjoy long walks and tasty treats. I can be mouthy when taking treats so please toss treats to me while I am learning to take treats nicely :) I can be sensitive to touch so please go slow when interacting with me. Staff recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the home. Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you'll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.
