Description:
Hi there! My name is Guinness. I am a medium-sized, energetic and curious fella. I was surrendered to the shelter after my previous home was no longer a good fit for me. I would do best in a home without younger kids and with a family that can help me build my confidence as I can be nervous in new environments. Please make sure introductions to any new people and animals in the home are slow and monitored. I hope to meet you!INSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`What a good boy!! I heard he was shy but as soon as he got outside he was so happy and friendly, and did a beautiful 'sit' to get his first treat without even being asked. He jumped right in the car and loved sticking his nose out to smell. Really well behaved on the ride, too. We did a nice long hike at Blackwood Farm and passed a few men which he was totally fine with. There was a group of kids nearby and he perked up at their laughs. He had his nose to the ground and knew how to walk on trails and follow my lead. He didn't seem to care about the squirrels at all. When we stopped on a grassy patch he rolled around and let me rub his belly. We went by the Target on Franklin Street to get a pup cup. He was chill with all the passersby. He absolutely loved the pup cup. This guy has great manners, is a love bug, and is really fun!``Guinness was such a good boy on his dog day out! He hopped right in the car and was so happy to go for a ride and then for a short hike. I already know and love him from volunteering but he warmed up to my husband immediately and was happy to greet other people we saw. He already knows sit and shake and learned lie down very quickly while hanging out at Starbucks after a pup cup. He is energetic and smart but also affectionate and eager to please. He is such a sweet boy and really deserves a great home to spoil him and give him all the love he deserves.`
