Meet Indy! Once he warms up to you, he wants to be near you, showering you with kisses and sitting on your lap. This man loves his toys, entertaining himself for well over an hour. He's an active, playful boy who loves to stretch his legs around the yard, but once he gets his energy out, he settled in well for a walk. And while he walked pretty well on leash, a harness is suggested for this strong gentleman. He loves walking and exploring and would do well with an active family to take him on adventures. He is non-reactive to shelter cats he passed and exhibits positive body language through the fence when he sees other dogs. When dogs barked at him on our walk, he wanted to meet them but never barked back. Several off-leash dogs ran up to us, and after looking at them, he was able to be redirected.He is very treat-motivated and clearly wants to please, making him easy to train. Listening to boundaries well, he never challenged me on our time out; he asked for permission before entering a room or getting on the sofa. In the car, he got immediately in the crate and sat there, looking out the window the whole time. More about Indy:-affectionate, playful, easy to please, active-treat and toy-motivated-self-entertains, but loves cuddling and coming in for pets-knows `sit`-positive, playful body language when seeing other dogs-nonreactive when passing a shelter cat-rode well in the crate in the car-Positive body language through fence with other dogs-Non-reactive to shelter cats we passed -Loves exploring trails + sniffing-Would make an excellent hiking buddy -Enjoys chasing balls in the play yard -Affectionate guy who likes being pet + cuddled -Treat motivated so should be easier to train -Curious + inquisitive -Striking coat + eyes -Strong on leash so would recommend harness-will receive heartworm treatment with an adopter
