Meeko spent eight years in a backyard before coming to us, but please don't feel sorry for him. He's accustomed to being outside, and it's where he feels most at home. While he could adjust to being an inside dog, we believe he would thrive spending the majority of his time in a fenced-in yard, eagerly awaiting his person's return to play fetch with tennis balls. Meeko's eyes light up with joy when he's chasing after those tennis balls, and it warms our hearts to see him so happy. Resembling a short-legged Lab mix, Meeko is an incredibly affable companion. He has made remarkable progress in understanding how to walk on a leash and has discovered a deep love for exploring outside the confines of the yard. If there's someone out there with a fenced-in yard who would cherish a wonderfully cheerful, ball-loving, and compactly built good boy that adores human company, please consider meeting our Meeko!The Haywood County Animal Services Adoption Center is located at 453 Jones Cove Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
