German Shepherd Dog / Mixed

Description:

GIGI ~1 year old. Good with dogs and kids over 16. Cats TBD. Needs companion animal and fenced yard. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only. Hello world! Are you looking for an exciting and energetic companion in a fun size package? If so, look up further Miss Gigi is here to introduce herself. Gigi is a delightful little shepherd mix. We are not quite sure what she is mixed with but she is about 40 pounds and has a short coat. We are guessing her at between 10 months to a year old, so she’s still just a baby. Her ears seem pretty big for her size and just adds to her cuteness factor! She has a great smile. She is a bit of a shy girl when she meets people, but once she gets to know you, she is quite affectionate. Little Gigi was picked up as a stray, so there is nothing known about her background. Initially, she was terrified of everything. She has made great progress in her foster home, but she is still easily overwhelmed and intimidated by new circumstances and new surroundings. Her forever home is going to have to have patience to let her continue to build confidence. Gigi loves other dogs! She must go to a home with another energetic and playful dog that can help her experience all the fun things in life and see that there’s really nothing to be frightened of. She feeds off the energy of the other dogs so she needs a confident and friendly playmate. Gigi absolutely must have a securely fenced yard, with a 6 foot fence. She is incredibly athletic and needs to be able to run. She is slowly learning what toys are. Gigi is very food motivated and seems eager to learn. She is just a little diamond in the rough. She’s going to make someone a really great companion as she continues to mature and learn that life with a loving family has so much to offer. Gigi needs to go to an adult home or a home with children over the age of 16. The sudden movements of smaller children would probably scare her. Gigi is housebroken and crate trained. She’s a great fun little dog. Come meet her soon. For more information on our adoptable pet list please visit: Adoptable Pet List Please join us at our next Event(s): Current Scheduled Events:
