Female Dog, German Shepherd Dog
German Shepherd Dog
Description:
TIA ~5 months old. Good with older, considerate kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Requires a companion animal and fenced yard. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only. Meet sassy little Tia, fondly referred to as Tia the Tasmanian Devil, this girl has a bug personality and is growing quickly, likely will be 60-70lbs as an adult. She has no problem correcting larger dogs that try to run all over her. Tia will likely be a dominant female as she matures and will not be placed in a home with other female dogs. Tia is crate trained, sleeps through the night, a great car rider, somewhat vocal and a very physical player. She LOVES to play chase and us learning how to fetch and return a ball. She’s probably young enough to learn to live with cats but will need a male playful dog in her home as well. She’s still very mouthy so not appropriate for families with young children. She loves people and craves their attention. She’s a little shy/nervous around new dogs but warms up quickly. Tia is a beautiful black and tan sheppie that will need a family familiar with the breed, who are willing to continue her socialization training and provide adequate physical and mental exercise. Serious consideration needs to be made as to whether you’re up to the challenge a baby land shark will present. Yes, she’s gorgeous, but she’s also very smart and will get herself into trouble given an opportunity. A family member home more often than not is preferred so that she’s not crated during a regular work day, every day. Please note Marni and Tia will NOT be adopted into the same home. These girls need families of their own to let their own personalities shine. PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under 8 years old.For more information on our adoptable pet list please visit: Adoptable Pet List Please join us at our next Event(s): Current Scheduled Events:
