Female Dog, Pug
Pug (Short Coat)
Description:
Buttons is happy-go-lucky, energetic, and friendly with people. She enjoys car rides and trips to the beach and walks nicely on a leash. Buttons enjoys playing with plush toys and a good back scratch and massage whenever you can give her one. Buttons is affectionate and can take short walks in cooler temperatures. She travels well in the car and is always up for an outing. Buttons is a healthy 9-year-old who weighs 16 lbs. She is a strong Pug and will get under your feet, particularly in the kitchen, so she can be a trip hazard. Buttons is crate trained, leash-trained and doing very well on her housetraining. She needs to be leashed-walked because she wants to put things in her mouth like leaves, so she does not need a fenced yard. A small tidy fenced yard is fine but not necessary. Buttons came to us starved so would do best being the only dog in the home due to food resource guarding with dogs (but not with people). We would prefer her forever home be one with Pug experience. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.
