Female Dog, Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (Long Coat)

Description:

Hadley is a beautiful Yorkie who is 8 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Hadley is observant, yet tends to be quieter than most Yorkies. Hadley came to us as a breeder release, never living in a home as someone's dog, but she has adapted quickly. She enjoys sitting on the couch with her foster parents and sleeping with them in their bed at night. She follows her foster mom around the house and when she is not home, she follows her foster dad all around. She is still learning housetraining and leash walking, so she will need someone with time and patience to help her be successful. Stairs are still a challenge for her, so she would do best in a single-story home. Hadley has learned to go up short flights of stairs but is still too unsure about going down. She could be an only dog or have another dog, preferably a Yorkie, under 14 pounds in the home. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, which is attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed and microchipped. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
