Description:

If you're interested in adopting any SGSR dog, please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. Hi, I’m Murphy and I’m 3 years old. My foster mom named me after Lt. Michael Murphy because she said I was a brave boy and needed a good, strong name to match. I had a very rough start in life and was taken from a neglectful situation. Because of that, I have an amputated tail, or a “nubbins” as my foster mom says. I also have something called spondylosis in my spine and am still healing from some lower vertebra fractures. My foster dad says I’m a handsome boy and is always trying to snuggle me. I’m a pretty chill guy and just like to be where everyone else is, but I’m also ok with being independent and keeping myself occupied. I love my fur foster brothers and sisters and playing with them is theeee best! I also like all my new toys and balls and big bed. My foster parents said they are amazed at how awesome I am since I had such a bad life before. I LOVE riding in the car and get super excited to go places. Mom says I don’t know any strangers and just like to meet people. I’m learning to relax and be comfortable in life and I actually like snuggling with my fostering parents sometimes. I’m being fostered in Chesapeake, VA and if you are looking for an amazing addition to your family, I’m your guy. Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact [email protected] .
