Barkley is one handsome and adorable dog! Gentle by nature, he can also be a bit clumsy – he’s part Basset after all. Still, Barkley is a dream to walk since he is always checking to make sure you're following him or near him. He does not want to be too far apart from his humans. Barkley does have hound tendencies with his nose often to the ground and an ear for squirrels. He loves fetch with a ball or a stuffed toy and he loves other dogs. He would be thrilled to have another canine companion or two to play with in a securely fenced yard. Barkley is very companionable and sociable with people. Because he thrives on human companionship, he would prefer a family that is not gone long hours during the day. Barkley is a sweet boy who aims to please. He’s looking forward to a family he can dedicate himself to loving and pleasing.
