Female Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier
American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed
Description:
Name / Breed / Age: Thea, American Staffordshire Terrier, 5 yo Personality Traits: Faithful, Distinguished, Lovable Likes / Dislikes: Loves quality time & pets from her humans. Dislikes meeting other dogs too quickly. Health and behavior history: **Thea is Heartworm Positive and PIPs will complete her Heartworm treatment. Thea needs to stay on Heartworm prevention and should be tested at minimum annually, or per your vet's recommendation.** Up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Thea is a distinguished lady who is ready to be your new best friend! She loves to be with her people and is always ready for anything from a walk around the neighborhood to cuddle time on the couch with a toy and a few (or many!) scratches behind the ear. Thea has been through quite a bit, much on which we don’t know, but as she has healed and rested, her personality is beginning to shine. She is curious and loves to chomp on both soft stuffies or dig in on a good bone toy. She is a quick learner, and is showing potential to learn new commands. She is good on a lead, and loves to stop and smell the roses (and everything else!). Thea is heartworm positive, which is not contagious and she is being treated for. Since is she is a lady of refinement, she would thrive as an only dog or in a home where introductions to a furry sibling are slow and structured. She does well out and about but she just needs a little extra patience when it comes to close encounters as she gets used to navigating a world full of other dogs. She currently lives with her foster sister, a 2-year-old Great Dane, and three cat foster siblings.
