My foster mom named me “Astro” which comes from the Greek word for “star” because she thinks that’s what I am – a STAR!I'm about 4 months old and weigh about 30 pounds. I’ve aced all my lessons – I’m learning new commands daily and getting better and better about potty training. I’ve mastered “sit”, “come”, and “down”. We’re working on “wait”, “leave it”, and “ouch your puppy teeth hurt!”. I’m still a baby and teething, but I’m easily redirected and highly motivated by treats!My foster mom thinks I would do well in almost any home. I love people of all shapes, sizes, and ages! I’m a BIG cuddler– so watch out! I’m going to be a lap dog no matter how big my paws say I will be. I love to be around YOU– you’re going to the kitchen? I’ll go to the kitchen, too. You’re going to the bathroom? I’ll guard the door and wait for you.I am kennel trained and don’t have accidents throughout the night! I love car rides and am learning to walk on a leash. My foster mom says I’m doing really well and my recall and direction is superb!I’m currently being fostered in a home with 4 cats and 2 other German Shepherds. They’re teaching me all about boundaries. I love to follow my foster sister around the yard. We chew on sticks together and roll in fallen leaves together. I’d love to be around other dogs or animals– I am a social butterfly! Because I prefer to spend time with my human and furry friends, a four foot fence would work for me.
