Female Dog, German Shepherd Dog
German Shepherd Dog / Siberian Husky / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Marie is 2 years old and 43 lbs. Miss Marie is quite the gem! She is a gorgeous blue-eyed German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix with the great traits of both breeds all wrapped up in one! She is a loyal, calm, "velcro" dog who loves nothing more than being around her foster family. She will follow her foster mom around the yard as she gardens and does chores just to be near her. She also became fast friends with her foster doggie brother and enjoys his company, knowing exactly when he wants to play and when he doesn't. She is very laid back, submissive, and content to go with the flow of the household. Like all younger dogs, she does get a burst of energy at times and loves doing the occasional zoomie around the yard! Marie also likes when her foster mom takes her on neighborhood walks, and is great when passing other people and dogs on a leash. When she first moved into her foster home, like a typical husky, she became a little escape artist, but once she knew she was loved and safe, she wanted to be nowhere else other than home! She can still leap, climb, and even balance on things, including on top of her crate to get a good look out of the window at the front yard! When it's time to settle down at night, she would be happiest flopped on the couch or at your feet, watching tv. She even puts herself to bed in her crate when she gets sleepy! Marie's hidden talent is "singing"! She has the cutest, small bark that makes it sound like she's breaking into song -- you have to hear it! If she doesn't sound perfect enough, Marie is also, house-trained, crate-trained, does well at bathtime, rolls on her back to have her nails clipped and is just all around a go-with-the-flow kind of girl!
